New collection of seamlessly tiling fabric textures has vintage antique reproduction motifs with intricate design and rich colorations. You will find this collection a coordianted group of large, medium and small patterns as well as stripes and plaids in a variety of color schemes. True antique color palette with madder, prussian and indigo blues, chocolate and violet, naturals, black and olive all with a warm shift due to the unbleached or tea dyed base cotton. Antiqued cotton lace has been included for trim. The collection contains a total of 236 files- 206 seamless fabric tiles, 10 one way tiling lace trims and 10 Victorian button PICT and PSP files.
Calico cotton prints from India were popular with Victorian ladies even after they were banned by the British government, in order to bolster their own textile industry. At the height of it's popularity Calico had distinctive characteristic patterns- small florals, vine and coral motifs, jewel-like dots, rings and pinwheels.
